Is Ayn Rand really that bad? I hear a lot of vitriol directed towards her but is Atlas Shrugged really that appalling?

Is it worth reading anything by her? If so should I start with The Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged?

read the rules, bitch.

From what I've read about it, it seems to be rather shallow concerning philosophy and doesn't have much literary merit either.

So I chose not the read it. I just read a few articles on objectivism and left it at that.

bad philosophy.

The only rule /lit/ has is don't speak of that skank and yet you persist to make threads about here.

Yes, well it's a very amusing rule. Cakes are lies and knees are arrows and all that good stuff I guess.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
