Okay, follow up question. Doesn't saying God is dead imply that God previously existed? Aren't most edgy teens atheists? Also, it seems to me that saying God is dead is nowhere near as impressive as asserting he never existed. Saying he's dead implies he's not powerful enough to avoid the fate of all mortals...
