Not including The Metamophosis (which many consider a novella, anyway).

For me, his micro-fiction about the guy sitting by himself in the cafe. I wanted to copy and paste it from Google, but surprisingly, I couldn't find it. You know the one.

I was thinking of that when I posted this thread, for obvious reasons. You don't want to know if I ever did or not?

>> No.2471620

You made that awful thread about 'omg should i buy a typewriter..?!'. I hate you sunhawk. SO IM GOING TO SAY METAMORPHOSIS ANYWAY.

I wouldn't consider you a reliable narrator even if you did.

There was one where a man got suddenly angry at his father and then jumped of a bridge, I think.
Jeez, it's been a while since I read his stories. I wish I could remember them more clearly.

No, I didn't. OMG! I still wouldn't mind having one though, and then using it around the house and garden. I wouldn't use it in public 'to be seen' though.

Fair enough, I have used one. Was quite weird, there's no need to actually use one these days though. +1 Sunhawk.

Kafka's best "micro-fiction": "In the Penal Colony".
Kafka's best "micro-micro-fiction": "Before the Law".
Not including The Metamophosis, ofc.

good reading bro

personally I really like 'the unexpected walk' and 'the passenger'. I like that they aren't big complex metaphors for something, they're just a little snapshot of someone's mind at one time. They're beautiful.

Which story are you talking about? Sounds interesting.

Mine is the metamorphosis (because fuck you, I can't help what I like) and probably The Judgement. I've just started reading every story by him so I have a few more to go.

The Judgement is both hilarious and terrifying. Reminded me of my own father.
