Which version of the Bhagavad Gita is the best one to read for authenticity?

I currently have a copy by Swami Prabhupada, who is a modern day Hindu priest with biases and cultural baggage, rendering his version incredulous in my opinion.

None of the biases that a 20th century Hindu might have, his version is abridged and has his commentary on it.

I want to read the original story but without someone's distortion.

Don't agonize over translations. None of them are perfect. Just pick one that's got readability as far as grammar and vocabulary.

Hopefully for you that language is Sanskrit
