True the dialogue was expositional at times, the characters were all mary sues - the writer's wish fulfilment fantasies. The setting was as unrealistically surrea as the characters. It name dropped authors to seem intelligent and band names to seem cool in order to attract a hip young following. But it was cute as fuck and everyone fell for it.

So long as you know about the book a girl's reading, it's extremely easy to pick them up.

I recently went to a party where a girl was reading Paradise Lost. You think the guys who usually come up to her know shit about John Milton.
I'm not going to lie and say we fucked that night, but we did talk for a few hours in which we found out we weren't each other's type.

The point of that cool story is that people like people who share their interests. Since most people don't read literature, it's not the most successful tool for picking up women. But it does help in picking up women who like literature.

And OP, do you really think girls want to fuck guys for their taste in literature? If you want to be friends with her, sure, but don't beat around the bush.

The only consistent way to "pick up chicks with books" is to read books about picking up chicks.

But not the Pick-Up Artist books. Those are horseshit. Try the one pictured at left. It's helped me more than anything I've ever read. The tactics are absolutely brilliant and will also help you in your platonic and business dealings.

>> No.2429837

Girls don't read books worth reading.
Women don't write books worth writing.
Name me one high-tier book written by a woman.

In answer to your question OP, it depends who you're trying to appeal to.
If poorly disguised Christian slut - talk to them about Twilight.
If college hipster - talk to them about any philosopher (they won't understand, so it doesn't matter who you pick).

I'm not sure if there are any other breeds of female out there. But if you discover a new variant of the species adjust your hunting methods accordingly.

Reading feminist literature and books with female authors will probably be effective, but if you're reading it with the sole intent of getting laid(which you seem to be doing), it will backfire like a motherfucker.

Worked for me.

You know, it's actually kind of interesting to me and merits discussion that Rand's fans are 99.9999% male. Most women would faint at her philosophy. And yet... she's a woman. Funny how that works.

So no, I second that motion, do not read Rand for the purpose of discussing her with chicks unless you want them to hate you.
