Why, of all fucking people, you need some ultra-degenerate, disgusting, narcissistic and psychopathic and lying DEI degree holding necropedophile Chris Angel looking Injun from the Midwest - who fucks roadkill for religious purposes and cuts his veins and cum five days at time in a jar because an equally autistic necrophile said so in a book he wrote in a state of acute psychosis; who has been caught soliciting nudes from girls young enough not to know what puberty is; who proclaimed proudly that he would gladly genocide the white race and fuck all women if given the chance; who bombed his own thread on /x/ by posting his cock in the thread, a poor dessicated thing that looks like mummified finger, a thing so small the only animal it could satisfy barely is the Etruscan shrew; who grooms himself to look like a magician, ponytail, stiletto beard, piercing black eyes, only to end up looking, with his mutt tier paunch, as someone who should not be allowed to remain with kids alone in a room; who consumed so much drugs, from weed to glue, that he makes Hunter S. Thompson look like a model of abstinence; who is willing to fuck every hole presented to him, male, female, alive, dead, nonhuman, it doesn't matter, because his religious beliefs says that everything is the same by the end of the day and it doesn't make a difference whom you fuck; who is a walking cocktail of all the STDs in America, spirochetes fighting with leprosy in cutaneous tissue, while monkeypox virions mingle unholy with their genital herpes bros and sometimes exchange strategy plans with HIV particles, all the while candida and chlamydia make territorial disputes over his urethral lining; who collects books that he doesn't read and sells the image of some kind of occult academician when even a quick wiki read can disprove whatever tripe he has written in his post; who has made so many posts on /x/ he's beneath anon in the leaderboard statistics, all the while managing to work, study his bullshit public administration, and read book after book of esoteric bullshit written by schizos trying to pass the scrambled connection of their dopamine abundant and glutamate deficient minds as revelation from divine being, which in most of the cases are dissociated fragments of their own selfes whispering justification why they're special and how eating sexual secreta of teen boys and girls is spiritual; who is a jeet sympathizer and believes being an extreme mentally ill pervert like an Aghori, who engage in cannibalism, necrophilia, scatophilia, and other philias the Kraft Ebbing wouldn't dream of, is being spiritual; who was kicked out even out of the most shittiest groups like Thelema for being a BPD center of pestilence; who can't get along with one (1) person because his mental illnesses, BPD, ASP, NPD, covert psychosis, low grade schizophrenia, kick in ten minutes after the first meeting - to tell you what to think and read.

Do you really think that some Lysoled up to the eyeballs Injun is really that knowledgeable. He doesn't read the books he posts - I did read them and noticed the discrepancy between the book and what tripfaggot eceleb says. It's like that low IQ filth with a history of vagabondancy who slipped into a DEI education wave doesn't even reads the books he posts and just skims the Wikipedia. And his pattern noticing abilities are abysmal. Through all the years of peddling the Cultus Sabbati crap, especially the Dragon Book of Essex (that's a proper occult book, not a tome from Elden Ring). he didn't notice the obvious and simple patterns in the structure of the rituals that even the autist with the lowest IQ score would notice. He kept fixating, like a turd tard, on one or two sentences that prove how the DBOE is somehow linked and more advanced than the Golden Dawn instead of seeing the overall structure. And the reason why his thread always went to shit and why there's such an animosity towards the occult is because his very narcissistic and BPD personality couldn't manage to have a conversation without antagonizing anons. It's very easy to have convos on 4chan because the rules are the same - don't be a dick, talk and treat others courteously. And yet, this self proclaimed occult giga brain who corrected everyone and everything and thought he's an authority on the occult couldn't even game simple social interactions: another sign of a low IQ.
And here's a secret: the occult is a nerd fandom. There's no truth there like in the hard sciences. It's the same DnD nerds arguing over lore, this time religious lore, but thinking they're hot shit because they're now wizards, have visions, do rituals, speak with ancient gods. Status is acquired through making and peddling your own system, which is nothing more but a permutation of previous systems, or through becoming an authority, which means leveling up through the ranks, speaking with even more rarified gods, joining the more selective and prestigious groups, or becoming the scholar. The baboon, understanding that academic understanding will give him more authority than the other strategies as winning the occult game, became the scholar and corrected everyone on how ahistorical, thus invalid, their practices are while what he's doing is valid because it's academically, thus historically, correct. Do you really believe - really, really. really, REALLY believe - that such a subculture, composed of utter losers who choose the occult because its the softest hobby there is, where no skill, no talent is required whatsoever, has any connection to anything related to spirituality? Or literature? Or anything wholesome and normal?
The occult is the mental Skidrow of human civilization, where the mentally ill congregate and fight over their delusions. This is true in the West - just check Thelema and the Tradcraft/Cultus Sabbati - and this is true in the East, like all the Aghori webms would show you.

It depends on how you interpret what being “Reddit” is. If you’re sufficiently chauvinistic, or conservative on various issues, or the 4chan form of it, “based and redpilled”, R.A.W. can definitely come off as being “Reddit” at times. Despite that, I love him, think he was an amazing, erudite, intelligent, incredibly interesting and creative thinker and writer.
If you’re going to call R.A.W. Reddit, I think he’d be Reddit at its best, or the older form of Reddit or what some of the best Redditors were. Open-minded, eclectic, and creative, tending towards libertarianism instead of some dogmatic politically-correct authoritarian progressivism. It’s funny that, especially in R.A.W.’s later books and writings, from the 90s to early 00s, he actually sincerely got into men’s rights stuff and openly criticized what he saw as some extreme forms of feminism, or popular feminist dogmas, as being misandrist. In “Cosmic Trigger III: My Life After Death” (completion of his Cosmic Trigger trilogy, parts-autobiography parts philosophical-rambling, parts literary, art and film criticism, investigations of mysticism, political theory, the paranormal, etc.), he has a chapter playing devil’s advocate for the infamous book The Bell-Curve, about proposed racial IQ differences.
He clearly admitted and could see, that if he were to take his own “model-agnosticism” seriously, his support of being open to highly differing worldviews, data, facts, experiences and claims from what one’s own reality-tunnel might bias one towards experiencing/believing, then it was only just to be open even to the most “offensive” views. He was self-aware enough to go for that in a part of the book, which I think clearly distinguishes him from the worst of Redditors — who’d generally like to consider themselves “openminded, tolerant, free-thinking and enlightened” but, say, would froth at the mouth about someone suggesting the claims of The Bell Curve could in any way be rooted in reality. (What he was especially miffed at in his chapter of the book about The Bell Curve, according to him, was how close-minded and dogmatic much of the academic and journalistic responses to it were.)
In another part of Cosmic Trigger III he compares a questionnaire from the application forms to some big university in California, including specific questions on racial/ethnic identity, and then the affirmative action for selected races, to something like the Nazi racial classifications and concern with racial hygiene, only inverted in modern “politically-correct” fashion. Then in other parts of the book he’s lobbing shots as political correctness in general and what he calls the “academic multiculturalists”, also accusing them of tending towards believing something like Marxism, and tending toward anti-White or anti-male discrimination.

He even brings up Harold Bloom’s critique of “the school of resentment” in modern literary studies. (Of course, he also brings up that he stood up for the civil rights protests of the 60s, directly participated in a sit-in against segregation at a barber shop and was arrested for it, and other things like that of his former political views and actions, as progressive “bona fides” of sorts to prove that “he’s not a racist.” So, again, depending on chuddy you are, you could see R.A.W. as simply having become a “cůckservative” on some issues at best, but then again maybe you also just suffer from brain-rot.)

Furthermore: the worst of Redditors would be the types to jerk off over organizations like CSICOP (Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal), affiliated “debunkers” of the paranormal like James Randi, the New Atheism of figures like Dawkins and Hitchens, etc. It’s true that R.A.W. was affiliated with or contributed towards Discordian lore, the Church of SubGenius, and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which can indeed be taken as “Reddit” and have been used by some Reddit atheists as parodies of organized religion or Christian beliefs.
However, again there’s more nuance — R.A.W. was also lobbing some of his hardest shots at some of these so-called “scientific skeptics of the paranormal”, in books of his like The New Inquisition, where he criticizes what he calls Fundamentalist Materialism and compares it to the excesses of religious fundamentalism they themselves criticize. He actually promoted open-minded study into things like the paranormal, extrasensory perception (or parapsychology, its study), UFOlogy, and, hell, even accounts of cryptids or cryptozoology, besides of various conspiracy theories, ranging from government corruption and plots to that of alleged secret societies, banking cliques, the major intelligence agencies, etc.
So this again sets him off from the nadir of the Reddit mindset, skeptically attacking “dumb conspiracy theories” or “paranormal phenomena”, yet not sufficiently self-aware to be skeptical enough of their own pseudo-skepticism.

However, ultimately, it’s sad to only see this amazing thinker and writer in the lens of modern day political issues or culture-war crap. Despite all the devil’s-advocating I’ve done (still based in truth and on many parts of R.A.W.’s own writings and works), he could in other parts be like what you call “Reddit.” Potshots, jokes, critiques, and satires of “those whacky Christian fundamentalists” or the “far-right conspiracy theorists”, Republicans, etc. He could indeed have that sort of modern skeptical American-smartass “scientific-enlightened-and-progressive-worldview”-influenced mentality. But he had more beside that. You don’t have to agree with him on everything to be thrilled by him and have your worldview pleasantly expanded or your mind fucked by his works.

RAW isn't reddit because he makes fun of christians (everyone should make fun of american "christians") and cuckservatives (or the whole political game), he's reddit because he's an empty and mediocre pseudaesthete that not even for survival but social actualization coopted the ideas of real dudes with real skin in the game and turned them into easily digestible and poorly written pulp choking with cliches and metaphors that don't pass the first test of research
then again that applies to most books from that clique sans burroughs and leary
I wonder when the day will come that /lit/ will be able to filter fake ass duds from style alone

I had a look at the only biography of him and that side of his work was completely absent from it. Annoying.
