I always carry one novel, one poetry anthology, and usually an anthology of trashy comic books.

I don't carry these in my arms, obviously. That would be weird. I use a backpack or a messenger bag.

I don't always carry stuff with me. If I'm in a position of sudden boredom I might read some wiki/stanford/IEP on my phone. If I do carry stuff around, it's usually a single book or my Kindle. What's glorious about the Kindle is that I can also mail my own writings to it so I can reread what I've written in comfort during train rides and such.

I don't read outside of my home because I'm yet to find a bag in which paperbag covers do not become creased or damaged.

I have an oversized jacket with inside pockets. I usually have something tucked in there.

Or maybe bad taste inheres in his character, like it does in yours.
Kindles are basically marks of stupidity, vulgarness, simplemindedness and a plebeian nature. Just like "tablets" and similar novelty gadgets (all gadgets are mere novelties).

What is progress? For you, it's maximization of output, minimization of input.
The logical conclusion to that is one button to do everything, you don't need to get up from your chair/toilet/life support unit.
Just press the button and you will be fed by a robot, a sex robot will ride your dick and a TV will pop up in front of you.
A society where people who aren't atrophied basement dwellers who rely on machines will be ridiculed.

You are the antithesis of "human".

Nope. Unless you have an actual slave to carry your stuff, traveling light and minimizing. Also, you would do well to learn the difference between gadgets and important, lasting technological changes. But then I guess you're the type of guy to call a smartphone a useless gadget but manages to own a typewriter without shame.

What a fucking straw man attack nigger. Just because I'm defending the idea of hte 'kindle' doesn't mean I'm endorsing a Brave New World you fucking truther. I agree with Bloom that it's too easy to be drowned in information now, but still for many people a kindle is just fucking easier, as in going on holidays, etc. I only read physical novels but I don't really give a fuck about the kindle or the fags I know who use it

Not standing up to Hitler is 'easier'.
Shitting where you sit is 'easier'.
Only caring to survive the collapse of civilization instead of building a world that future generations would enjoy living in is 'easier'.
Destroying instead of creating is 'easier'.
Being you instead of a good person is 'easier'.

There's only 2 different sizes of paperbacks that are ever published. I usually have the smaller one in my pocket. The actual book changes once I've read it. I'm always pissed when I don't have a small book to carry :(( it usually means i have to actually look out the window on the bus. fuck that shit.
