Hey guys, I just uploaded the Teaching Company's Ulysses lectures for a friend, and I thought I'd offer you them too. They are really really spectacular aids to reading or rereading Ulysses. Done by James A. W. Heffernan, a really stellar Joyce scholar, there are 24 half-hour-ish lectures, a bit over 12 hours all told.
I recommend them to anybody who's reading or has read Ulysses. Even if you think you've got the book handled, they're really very interesting, and cover a broad set of interpretations.

Gonna bump this a bit, just cause I don't want this to go to waste and I don't come on here that often.

Oh also, part 1 goes up to the first half of the Cyclops episode, part 2 from there to the end. Though if you're gonna take any you should take both, they're great.

Oh yeah, a great way to use these is to read a chapter, then listen to the lecture(s) on the chapter, and then read the next chapter, etc. It's great cause the lectures are segmented by chapter, and the book itself is episodic so it feels ok to stop after each one and think.

I've been meaning to reread Ulysses (I have a feeling that lots of subtlety was lost on me the first time through), and I will definitely listen to these before I do so.
