yeah, and there's some good stuff, but you're still missing out on the huge social and intellectual benefits that come with participating in the uni community

All of these rating agencies whether it's government or journalists or other independent organisations have different criteria on which they judge. If you are intending on going then study it for yourself according to the course you desire, not the overall institution.

Heaven-tier universities actually have shitty social benefits.

A ton of people who do nothing but study.
Lots who have been raised to feel that they are god's gift to mankind, and who are the most annoying dipshits during any classroom discussion.
etc

Thousands of people go to Princeton. It really isn't that difficult/improbable to find at least one who who visits /lit/

According to topuniversities.com I've progressed from 270 to 59 between under and postgrad. It's nowhere near the top but the difference makes me feel good.

I actually watch a lot of lectures online, from everywhere and about everything. I learned a lot that way. But it's a lonely thing and there is more to it than just watching the teachers speak... If it was about just taking on knowledge like a sponge, I would just read books 24/7 and be the most knowledgeable man alive, but not the most experienced or wise.

It's rather obvious what I said was facetious and you're autism prevented you from reading anything besides seriousness.

I like it. I'd hate to live in a safe, sanitized, white, gated community. You miss out on some of the more interesting characters and aspects of life. Cambridge is nice, but fucking boring.
