maybe its murikans that only now discover them, most of the world is fed up with those books from homework

storytelling is the best thing you can do with a book,escapism and reading about unique worlds is way better than trying to get universal truths that aren't there or pretend you know shit about anything afterwards, or read about some faggot that gets dumped and then dies alone

/lit/ has always been a slow, small board compared to the others and it has always maintained a static level of douche to good poster ratio. Those pop-readers and fantasy readers aren't all that bad, they make their own threads and usual keep to those. If, for some reason, they enter a big boy thread they stick out and usually get flamed. All and all, besides the weaboo boards this is one of the most 'balanced' there is on 4chan. It occasionally suffers from the same problems all the other specialty boards suffer from which is plebs. But they tend to stick out alot more then on /k/ /fit/ /o/ ect. because, some of the regular /lit/ posters have studied english at university, plebs and other posters such as myself do not. If however the new comer has the common sense shut the fuck up and read rather than contribute for a while, they can pick stuff up and eventually make babby's first non-shit post.
