I read almost everyday except when I'm too tired to, I don't push myself because that makes it dreadful

Physical. For some reason I can never seem to concentrate when reading e-books, plus I like holding a physical book in my hands

If I'm busy, just before bed. If I have a free day, I'll read for a few hours in the afternoon and then again before I go to sleep.

Every single day for at least an hour in each sitting. I don't know if any other anons relate but I feel like a need some time for my brain to "warm up" before I start going at a good pace so I can't just read for 15 minutes at a time.

In the mornings I read a chapter of the Bible, a Hadith from an-Nawawi's 40 Hadith, some Qur'an, and then I read 25-50 minutes of a book I have in rotation.

I read on a bed, couch, or desk.

I am currently reading the Iliad, the NRSV apocryphal literature, The Ode Less Travelled by Stephen Fry, the Three Pillars of Zen, and Slowed Reading In a Hurried Age.

Both for different needs. Physical means I got it from the library, and I treat those like you would treat a TV show in the 90s: ephemeral, comes and goes, if I don't like it I'll just return it next weekend, and discovery. It's satisfying to go to the library, see something like "Recreational Math" and "Alexander The Great by Paul Cartledge" and go "I'll read that, I was reading too much WWII books"
Ebook is when I need to read the book, cause it's a /lit/ classic, on a topic I'm interested in, or I don't wanna check it out in library. Catch-22 is an exampel.
I FUCKING HATE LED screens so I use my kindle (might get a better version of those e-inks, but not now)

Alexander The Great by Paul Cartledge. Great read and really illumined that youtube videos on a topic suck. Cause the videos I watched on Alexander before left a lot of stuff out, as well as context around Alexander, such as his shitty relationship with Philip II.

I try to be diverse in my reading, but I cannot for the L I F E of me stand twitter books. I have no idea what's a better way to describe the concept other than examples my school's book club tried to read. (I forgot the names but I'll just say what the issue was)

This was before we even saw him speak, and it certainty didn't add to his character. It comes across that the author was just picking a bone with his own dad
>second book: maid is a super duper autistic, and is unable to cope with anything except cleaning
It's so over the top and heavy handed with expressing this idea. Tell, don't show, and it left me not wanting to read. I read a short story where a husband/wife wanted to kill each other, to spare the other from learning about their adultery: in nine pages those couples were more fleshed out and compelling than this bitch in 30.

I don't have a hard rule, usually when I can find the time but these lately typically means more towards the afternoon when everyone is settled.
Depends what I'm reading. I try to shoot for at least a chapter or two a night but if I'm into it I can lose track and go further.

Physical. Read a few full books as PDFs earlier this year and it was fine, but my eyes prefer physical copies. More often than not when I get a free PDF somewhere and I enjoy the book, I’ll buy a physical copy. I will say that the Calibre e-reader is nice for language learning. Just link a dictionary to it and away you go. Makes it so much easier. I respect anyone who has the tenacity and dedication to work with a physical dictionary when learning a language.

Getting up at 5am and reading for 2 hours is the best. Caffeine, kefir, silence, and flow state reading. Nothing beats it.

Everyday, and I shoot for 30-40 pages per sitting. 60 pages a day is always my goal, but I haven’t met it since the winter months. Reading has fell off due to language learning.

Used to read physical, but once I bought a kindle, I completely dropped them and went digital. Literally zero downside to ebook reading.

After I wake up in the morning, or right before I go to sleep. Morning reading is usually the best, because you are fresh and therefore you can concentrate easily. Night time reading is usually more rewarding since it helps you relax, but 7 out 10 times tiredness catches up with me and I struggle keeping my eyes open.

It depends with my mood. Sometimes I spend months only reading, and sometimes I dont because I prefer to watch movies/finish my gaming backlog
