I liked it! Impaling the ice cube with a claw was a nice touch. The format with which you accentuated the drawl seemed less Texan, especially for Dallas, it sounded like you were going for the style of emphasis in terms of pattern but maybe put too much 'southern' in it, Texans are incredibly sensitive about how unique they seem to think they are. The emphatical tone is good but maybe less word amalgamation, or perhaps a different setting than Dallas?
