I have a problem.

I can't seem to let my main character to be happy.

No matter what he goes through or how hard he tries, everything just doesn't work out for him.

I don't know if the story is suffering for it, but I don't think people would be interested in reading it.

The character starts in a horrible position and it only gets worse.

I am sitting here trying to think of someway to make something beneficial happen, but it all feels so hollow and fake. As if something good happening would ruin the character's prespictive.

How do I get out of this ruinous ideology.

Zyzzek sez: ideology is inevitable. Also, squatz.
Happy people are boring.

Heard of A Song of Ice and Fire?

Basically, horrible things happen to the characters you love and fantastic things happen to the characters you hate. I fucking love that series.
