>> No.2335732

Psychology textbooks right this second, then plan on starting The Myth of Sisyphus before I read The Stranger.

The Hamlet by Faulkner.
It's good, but 3 guys 1 hammer is better.

>>2335732

Don't even own it yet so I'll have to look around.

>> No.2335767

You should read that book op, pretty crunchy.
Should read Cosmicomics, only have one story to finish.
Then on To The Lighthouse.

>> No.2335769

What I'm not reading is Neuromancer, left it off a week ago.
It's the second time I try to get through it. Should I keep on or drop it for good?

Don't listen to this fag. Trust me, the best time you will ever have will be the time you spend not reading Norwegian wood.

Because I read one of his other novels and by doing that I read all of his books.

OP here, just started reading ullyses too, and I'm two pages in and want to die.

>> No.2335784

Not reading Infinite Jest right now.
After that, I plan to not read 2666.

>> No.2335786

Oddly enough OP, I'm "not reading" The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Murakami. It looks at me every day, but I'm stuck at the first few pages.

I should have bought wind up instead of nor wood. Found it today for $15 less, I could be not reading it right now.

>> No.2335814

I actually really enjoyed Norwegian Wood.

Then I saw that it was becoming a movie and I got exceptionally pissed off.

Movie was decent at best. Don't bother.

>> No.2335819

I wasn't planning to, but thanks for the warning anyway!

I actually had Norwegian Wood too (I was trying to impress some semi-hipster girl I guess?) but I sold it through eBay, but the guy never got it because I sealed it wrong, so I had to refund his money. Total loss.

I'm struggling with wind-up bird right now as well.. Almost 400 pages in, and it's still fucking boring, lacks a clear plot and direction, a main character with a lack of intellect whom I could care less about, and horribly uninteresting prose. I was told it was his masterpiece so I'll probably fight through it - if anything just to feel like the first 400 pages wasn't totally wasted. But damn, Iøm on struggle street.

Part one is effectively pointless, almost everything happens in the third and final book/part.
>>2335818
That's a shame, Tony Takitani was amazing

Perhaps, you just don't get the first part, eh?
