Moby Dick is better than Blood Meridian, Ulysses, and infinite Jest.

>> No.23354761

moby dick was boring when I read it in HS. Why would you ever want to read it again??

So true, if one could speak about perfection in literature, Moby Dick was the closest it got to it

obviously, who would even dispute this?

Millennial faggots who can't self-insert into based Ishmael.

i like Blood Meridian and Infinite Jest but yeah, obviously. i haven't read Ulysses yet but it would take a lot to top Muh-Dick.

Is there really a chapter in Moby Dick where they talk about skinning whale penises and using the skin as a water poncho? That'd encourage me to read it of true

True, and also the wide open sky is bigger than 3 things that aren't particularly big.

Moby Dick is a good book, but I think I (and other people) might honestly overrate it because everyone told me not to read it because it's boring. And it's not remotely boring, it's the opposite of boring, it has ADHD but in a way that is not only coherent but somehow true to life. It's like if everyone told you how disgusting lutefisk was and then you decided to try it and it tasted like chocolate cake, the surprise factor might make you think it was the best food in the world

Rate Moby Dick, Infinite Jest, and Ulysses in terms of accessibility for above average IQ lay readers. I always wanted to read them

Moby Dick is an easy read, Ulysses shouldn't be a big problem either, if you don't go autistic about it. IJ I haven't read yet, but the sheer volume of it seems daunting

>> No.23359161

Blood Meridian is harder to read than them besides looking up some Irish colloquialism for Ulysses

Yes
