How come you people never talk about recent releases? Does a book really have to be over a decade old to be relevant to you?
Challenge: post a book written in within the past decade that you enjoyed. If you don't have one, use a search engine to find one you might like and post about it.
Pic related came out last year and I thought it was fun. It's about a Disney theme park princess who murders people to cope with her grandmother's mortality. Both the novel and its protagonist take inspiration from American Psycho. At some point, the protagonist fucks Johnny Depp. It's a wild ride.

Cheating a little, but this is really great. More specifically the 1st and 2nd books, the second half of the 3rd is also good. The 1st half of the third is unfortunately drivel.

I assume it’s all women, fags, and Jews writing about their Jewish American experience (which has been most lit the last 30 fucking years). Women…. well a select few can appeal to male readers but I’ll let other people take the gamble and wait for the reviews. Fags sometimes produce good stuff when they’re in the closet and angry, which none are anymore. Jews writing about Jew shit is a hard pass. And then White males seem caught up in genre fiction now and I don’t want sci fi, noir, etc.

OP here. Got another one for you dark lit out there. This one's a 2017 historical fiction novel about a court jester.

Comfy read, it's a murder mystery but with time loops and body swaps.

Starts off with a corporation that employs people to say random sequences of hebrew phonemes to find the magical Names of God, and goes a lot of places. Symbolically it's about the nature of evil.

all books published in the past decade have been for female gooners a la 50 Shades of Grey, or unbearable LGBTQ Black Lives Matter slop.

He's a bit derivative of Franzen but it's some of the only not fully pozzed literature of recent memory.

Didn't Ted Chiang write a story to that effect.

rotting apples, lesbians, flesh, and piss
most /lit/tards are too busy trying to "read all the classics" to seem smart. they are too busy getting frustrated at homer (and eventually going back to video games) to bother reading anything published after the 1600s.

Incredibly funny, very current with the times (if you're not antisemitic or a Zionist), it's a love letter to Harold Bloom, it's written really well, and it's a biting satire of one the worst men currently alive

Wait, woops, that's not by Chiang, that's Clarke
Chiang wrote "Hell is the Absence of God" though, which is also similar
