Many Anglo readers complain all the time about 19th century writers peppering their works with French (a supremely artistic language) words. All those complaints ended with the dumbing down of the Anglo-Saxon school systems, so now you have people like McCarthy dropping some dialogue line in Spanish (a language of labourers) to befuddle his readers whilst not have them thinking they are dumb.
