Of those that I know, he is probably the best. That said, it has been a while since I last read a fantasy book.

The thing about fantasy is that it is not about prose. It is about a nice story where the heroes beat the bad guys. Kinda like superhero movies.
And it is fine, really.
Sanderson doesn't push degeneracy and his books are entertaining enough.

This is such a facile taste and standard for reading, on the one hand, as if great works of fantasy with moral ambivalence didn't exist (Howard, Eddison, Peake), and on the other as if prose had never been a consideration at all (the whole Kunstmarchen tradition, Dunsany, MacDonald, Hoffmann, etc.). Readers like you are a strain and blight on the market, stick to old Disney live-actions.
