As far as co-authored books go, this wasn't bad. It has probably the best description King has ever written about his universal theme of light/dark, good/evil. The crossover of dimensions takes you by surprise, but fits neatly into the story. A good read. Thought provoking, without being too deep.

Don't forget the sequel, Black House. I enjoyed them both quite a lot and they may be my favorite King novels. They're not deep works that will make you rethink your life, but they don't all have to be. These were fun.
It's axiomatic.

I liked it as much as the first 3 books of the Dark Tower series. It was a nice fantasy/adventure book
