In high school the absolute worst book we read my senior year, which was entirely based around modern North American literature, was Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood
It was just disconnected vignettes about two characters you didn’t give a fuck about, basically felt like the book version of an indie movie from a director that doesn’t know how to tell a story or make a movie
