Man reincarnated into a new world, spends 500 years there and uses time travel to go back 500 years in the past. His whole obsession is immortality and he's willing to do anything no matter how evil to do it. The author just makes the mc needlessly evil in the beginning, his whole inner monologue is just edgy ramblings. it doesn't get less edgy til like the end of book 3 and even then it has its problems.

Oh yeah i loved the book, it has massive pacing issues tho and tons of info dumps. If you have any interest in reading it i'd recommend looking it up and reading some reviews, just be warned book 4 has insane pacing issues that basically make the progression of the mc come to a literal full stop.

A grimdark series (can't recall the name) in a world where mental illness makes you powerful, and the craziest delusions you get further control. There's one guy who speaks to himself in the mirror for helpful hints I guess, and that same man is working on creating an actual god- one that can be controlled. I recall DNF'ing around that point, it was just TOO dark (and I like grimdark!)
