I've noticed that I read a lot when I have problems. I don't want to deal with them so I read instead. Do you also read when you want to escape your reality?

Even when I'm reading ABOUT reality it's to escape "my" reality. Philosophy and history and science all elevate reality to something more interesting, they gussy it up and show it has the capacity to be something greater.

truff. form me, it is Kim Stanley Robison's Red Mars saga. something about the idea of a colony peopled with the most brilliant and outlandish minds of the time starting a society from scratch helps me avoid the bullshit reality i have created for myself. VEER. my ex has all my books, so i have been stuck in my life more and more as of late. maybe it is a good thing? i love books, but maybe i would be better off living a bit more.
