Give me books with a sweet pages-money ratio. Deliciously long novels, tasty compilations, sweet collections, etc.

This
I read 10 pages so far
>the world was created
>mankind was deceived by a talking serpent
>fratricide
>extinction level flood, but theres a survival boat with all the kinds of animals in the world
>people tried to make a tower to Heaven but failed
All that in 10 pages
No other book delivers so much in so few pages

The Anatomy of Melancholy is ~1150 pages of Renaissance-era musing on melancholy. You can get a legacy reprint from different companies for $10, but I recommend the NYRB paperback (the paper feel is exquisite and the body text Latin is translated). Could probably find a copy of Harold Bloom's massive poetry anthology used. I know there's an edition of Homer with BOTH the Iliad and Odyssey. The Decameron is probably very cheap used.

as a leaf, i can go to goodwill and buy 700 page novels for two (2) dollars. i'd imagine the experience is similar elsewhere (but the selection is inconsistent, trending towards bad)
