Any hype for the reprint?

Intrigued, but fairly apprehensive. Many of the book critics and Internet personalities known for lauding the indulgent and mostly American maximalist novels of the 20th century (Gaddis, Pynchon, etc.,), are actually fairly critical of this novel. From what I can tell, it’s incredibly repetitive and largely bereft of ideas. Still, I’m curious.

I was just about to order a copy when the hype around the release caused prices on used copies to get silly, had it in my cart and a few days later went to click order but the copy had sold and the available copies were not worth what they were charging. I will give it a read eventually, some author I like (don't remember who it was at the moment) had mentioned it in an essay or interview and what they said was enough to get me interested.

I guess George Salis for one? Not that I’m a frequent watcher of his but I remember some comment he made about not liking it in a video he did cataloguing large books.

I'm definitely interested, from what I've read about it it's pretty schizo, which is to my liking

I want to get it, but I'm at the point in my life where my career is superceding leisure activity, and I already have a massive backlog of books I own which are unread. If I were to buy this, I don't think I would crack it open in the next 3 years unless I moved it the front of the queue. My reading interests have also strayed very far away from 20th century doorstoppers, that there are other books I'd rather read. But I know if I don't buy it now, I may never own it. I've always looked for this book in used book stores. I've yet to see it.

The Dalkey Archive release? Is it actually coming out? They had a release date for the end of last year and it got pushed back until March. Now it seems to have been pushed back until May.
