Witchcraft, oracles, and magic among the Azande.
Harris has some interesting ideas but I think he is too focused on proving his own ideas. Gets the tunnel vision. Cows ,pigs, wars and witches felt like a book where the research was undertaken specifically to prove a thesis, which is usually the sort of behaviour frowned upon in anthropology.

It is like a minor version of Herodotus more concerned with the scientific aspect of how customs originate. I ordered the Galen commentary on the work recently and it was quite expensive. Can't wait for it to get here.
