is it true that most philosophers are failed artist or failed mathematicians?

Anyone worth reading was a failed poet.

yeah, I was obsessed with "philosophy" for three years after my plans to become some kind of visual artist failed, now I realize my stupidity and I write poetry and study math instead. Nominalism is true btw.

I’m well known as both and artist and philosopher. Reject the dichotomy, be like Wagner.

Most failed artists are too retarded to proof something as basic as the unit circle or trigonomic identities.

>> No.23136265

Wagner was neither though

Artists maybe, mathematicians no.
Any deep thought about mathematics reveals numbers to be horseshit and renders the whole field moot.

I wanted to be a poet but nothing ever came naturally to me and everything I wrote was forced or cliche.

Sir have you ever seen a multivariable differential equation?

Mathematicians are exactly as respectable as speedrunners, with the one additional caveat that when they grind speedrunning for 40,000 hours, they sometimes invent a new subtype of plastic or something. They're sort of like bitcoin miners in that way. You leave them running for years and there is a certain probability that they may modestly generate wealth. But I don't respect the video card or even view it as human.

obviously numbers are horseshit, that doesn't mean you can't do mathematics. math is just a game. it's not like that guy who builds card towers has to think his card towers are meaningful.

>> No.23136537

Look, I respect mathematics a lot but I don't know, there's a culture around it that I despise.
Mathematicians are just Freemasons.

Philosophy is a noble human science; most socalled "philosophers" are actually sophists, and/or odiosophers, or solely logicians.

Science, and art, are mutually complementary, with neither being subordinate to the other.

Past a certain point, art without science redounds in pseudoart, or antiart, as science without art redounds in pseudoscience, or antiscience: desertification of consciousness.

The ultimate distinction of philosophy natively consists in, and novatively derives from/expounds upon, architextually naming & tokenizing the terms of the procession of love.
