One thing I fully agree with Nietzsche on is the criticism of Christian compassion, the so-called slave morality. The vital man who dominates with will can make the world a better place, the compassionate man is useless. To show pity for others is to treat them with contempt. Better to encourage them to face up to their difficulties and struggle against them as best they can.
