Just marathoned pic related. Looking for more non fiction in the same vein. Fun to read biographies of people who have accomplished big things in their life, or really just any non fiction that gets one pumped up and excited to approach life in a proactive, optimistic way. Some other books like this i've enjoyed have been:

>Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler
>Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
>Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson
>Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike by Phil Knight
>To Pixar and Beyond: My Unlikely Journey with Steve Jobs to Make Entertainment History by Lawrence Levy
>The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company by Robert Iger

Cheers.

On Leopard Rock is Wilbur Smith's only non-fiction piece and is a good example of what you're looking for.

Papillon and its sequel Banco.

The life of Henri Charriere, if it is even only 10% true, is enough of a testament to the love of life, fortitude, and human will, that I reread them both every year.

Its also interesting af, and makes me want to drink pastis in the jungle.

cool

to further clarify my description, i'd like recs for books that are written about titans of industry, people who shape the way our world is, etc. I like reading about people who have greatly influenced the world around them, and by reading about them, gives one a nice cross section of the time / place they came from and influenced. for example, reading the steve jobs biography gives you a better understanding of the computer revolution, silicon valley, etc.

the chapter was titled "the secret" kek. it was at the end of the book, after his governorship. basically glossed over the event itslef, said there had been nothing leading up to it despite her working in their house for years. maria and the kids were out of town. somehow he and the maid were alone together in the guest house, then bam, she was pregnant. made it seem like it was a one time thing, lapse of judgement etc. Said there was nothing wrong with their marriage or anything, and that he basically just thought he could get away with it and there would be no consequences. he takes complete ownership of it but doesn't go super in depth or describe any details, kinda just like "i was an idiot and thought i could have this random spontaneous hook up with no consequences"

OP, you know Schwarzenegger just came out with a new book right?
If you’re looking for another biography tho, is recommend Hells Angel by Sonny Barger
