What /lit/ podcasts do you like?
For me its "in our time" (history, arts, science, philosophy) and "poetry unbound".

please no yootoober, POV virtual friend experiences, american style "culture wars" pundits, or presenters under 35.

Bonus question - who will replace Melvyn Bragg when he dies?

This guy is my go to for learning more about literature. Top notch comfy for reading a book and then checking his analysis on it

History of Rome is a very solid podcast.

I can't stand podcasts.
It's just disguised radio and I can't stand that medium either.

I think the word is a bit stupid. I tend to think of them as radio programmes but the youngsters find it alienating if i refer to them like that. I'm not a big fan of informal, chatty podcasts or those pov youtubers as I'm not looking for a surrogate social life.

I mean in the case of In Our Time or Freakanomics for example it literally is radio. Well, actually I'm not sure about In Our Time, if it's still aired on the radio or not. I think it is, otherwise why is he still such a stickler about time?

Anyway in addition to those two I like Stuff You Should Know, sometimes I'll listen to a Huberman Lab.
Yeah that's about it, it's kinda hard for me to add a podcast to my regular listening list.
Also I recently started listening to audiobooks instead though whip knows how long this phase will last

Two conservative Catholic English professors discuss (mostly) poetry. They have done series covering The Canterbury Tales, The Faerie Queene, and Paradise Lost. They have also recently done series on some prose works, including Dracula and Moby-Dick.

Recorded class lectures of English professor William Flesch, who was a student and friend of Harold Bloom. Lots of lectures on poetry, including The Faerie Queene, which doesn't have a lot of audio content available on it. The courses are poorly organized, unfortunately.
I liked this lecture on free indirect discourse:

>denies black anons their identity to preserve his fragile worldview
>has to imagine them as the least successful type of white just to maintain feelings of superiority
My recommendations are altogether too good for you.
