I don't understand why /lit/ would even have so many Catholics, you guys historically hate literacy among the laymen and literature whenever it's not controlled under your cult's monopoly.

And your cult historically destroyed countless manuscripts of Scripture, killed unknown numbers of martyrs for trying to preserve or translate Scripture, and only conceded this approach once the movable-type printing press was invented and they couldn't get away with it anymore. Now, instead of burning Bibles they just create their own counterfeits with insidious notes in the preface denying the historicity of Christ or the gospel accounts or the trustworthiness of Scripture.
