Found this book in the Grapes Section today at my local book store. Why the fuck would a guy write such a long book about angry grapes?

I actually bought this thinking it'd be a book about the Civil War but instrad so far it's about poor farmers during the dust bowl. I am struggling to get through this, I just have zero interest.

God's winepress is a biblical metaphor concerning God's wrath and often the end of the world or every possible unfortunate thing occurring at once. Usually to people that deserve it, but not necessarily in the case of this novel. So the title is simply a religious way of saying the family in the story is going to the press to be trampled.
Should have got East of Eden instead, OP.

Not everyone knows, but Wrath isn't a bad story.

I do believe angry grapes would be a more interesting topic to write about than what ever the book is actually about.
