Is there any reason to take the second Critique seriously? Or the third, but less so.

>> No.23049477

The entire raison d'etre of the first is to make room for the third. It's where Kant shows that despite the limiting of theoretical reason we still have an inborn moral reason. The third is incredibly important for subsequent philosophy.

I'm sorry, statements of the class 'only the first one is good" are irrelevant. But more to the point, is there a lot or a little left when you remove the moral ground from philosophy? So maybe the second one isn't terrible, but what could it be for?

They are already in order in terms of importance, the second part of the 3rd critique is more important than the first part though.

You can't understand Fichte and subsequent developments in German Idealism without an understanding of all three critiques, and understanding Fichte and those who followed him is quite worthwhile indeed.

yeah I need Fichte in myself, like you probably understand.
