What's the deal with all these writefags making threads on /lit/?
You're not Literature yet...

>> No.2304730

Yeah, that rule encouraging them seriously needs to be removed, they're by far the worst part of this board. Even more annoying than Ayn Rand, tbh.

>> No.2304732

Wow, you guys are shit.

>> No.2304748

In general I appreciate original content being posted, regardless of its quality, it but there has been a somewhat influx of them over the last day or two.

Stop whining and go be a writer somewhere else.

>>2304730
there is no rule encouraging them...

>> No.2304765

wow, great thread. it's so nice to see community members really trying to make this board more engaging!

good job!

>> No.2304775

didn't you get the memo? /lit/ is the official board for
>grammar inquiries & pet peeves discussion
>politics discussions
>help on any homework assignment that involves writing, even if the subject isn't literature
>ebook discussions

>> No.2304776

I would have no problem if there was some quality to it. If a new poster comes today to post his story I'll miss it, because I don't even bother. I always regret the decision of reading OC here. There should be an advice on the sticky telling people to read it again twice and be 100% sure before making a thread.

>>2304765
I like how you say that as a good thing. We want this board to be better and it needs to be engaging for the right reasons, for the right people.

New year, old resolutions. I think that they all just started working on their new best-sellers.

The sulphuric smell corroding your nose right now can only be misunderstood as a flatulence by a plebeian. A plebeian who lived among sheep and cows his entire life never to climb the mountain of knowledge and discover the incandescent nature of a hidden volcano, holding the secrets of the depths, saving your pure and ignorant souls from the truth that sleeps inside the rocks underneath your feet. Excuse the putrescent gas residue, but believe me when I say our arrogance comes with good intention, for we are exhaling only a fraction of the inconvenient reality that keeps our planet solid, so easy for the common man to forget.

you type all these words but all i see is "my valve!"

The sticky is hard to modify, but there is another solution to this problem.

4chan ALREADY HAS a "critique my shit" board: >>>/ic/

I guess we could start redirecting all the writefags to them.

>> No.2304895

'Writings', by definition, is what literature means you stupid cunt.

>> No.2304896

>>2304832
Oh look, another uneducated shit who doesn't know what 'plebeian' means.
Keep going, lowly helot, you amuse me.

/lit/ is NOT a homework board. Any posters posting homework help threads will be dealt with. However discussing homework you have been given is allowed as long as it generates healthy discussion. But just asking for answers will result in a ban.
/lit/ is NOT a fan-fiction board, please refrain from posting this.
/lit/ ENCOURAGES you all to submit your own writings for critique, judgement and revision.
