Every time I finish a good book, I stop reading for a very, very long time. I'm always afraid that the next book might be bad and ruin my reading experience.

Do you know that feeling? If so, what do you do against it?

Read exclusively bad books.

I used to know that feeling, but then I started reading more than fifty books a year: a good book no longer seems so important and I finish bad books in a couple of days so they don't bother me.

I find after I read I become ready to write Americas next best novel.

Then I don't. And I don't read either. Repeat.

I'm reading Communion by Whitley Strieber and I am in no danger of this thing happening to me
