It's good. You could probably edit 100 or so pages out of it and change a few scenes. It doesn't have the same problems as the tv/film versions because it jumps back and forth in time (i.e. the adaptations suck when the adults take over the narrative).

I got so insanely salty when the girl pointed out how one guy had a bigger penis and how it felt better and made her more excited. Dicklets can’t catch a break. Anyways, it’s a pretty bad book. I got terribly bored and dropped it and even though I had only a handful of chapters left I just couldn’t get myself to care about this drivel. I ended up revisiting it several years later just to read the infamous orgy scene. What I think about that I’ve said above. Don’t recommend.

King does one thing well but he does it very well- the feeling of lurking horror underlying small town America. He is great at creating a kinda comfy ambiance where something just doesn’t seem right. It’s often now the supernatural incidents that are the true horror but the people themselves, either before or after said incident.
