realize that your first ideas are always your most underdeveloped. for example, when asked to describe a steak an author would often call it "tender," "juicy," or "brown."
it is your duty as an author to go against your first instinct when it comes to plot, description, etc. and find a more meaningful and deep option to undertake in your writing
