have begun to disturb my reading, how to remove floaters? Mine doesn't like those in the picture, it's more like dark shadows.

And yes this is related to literature because it affects my ability to concentrate and understand the literature!

It could be serious
See a doctor
It might be anxiety

If they've suddenly appeared then see an optician as it could be retinal detachment. I have visual snow and bad eye floaters and you just get used to looking through cobwebs. You can get laser floater removal, it's quite expensive and I'm not sure how effective it is.

You can talk to a doctor about getting your eyes surgically drained.
>>22795964
>I don't go to doctors.
Start learning braille then. Aldous Huxley had a bout of blindness as a boy and was made to learn it, but later his sight recovered. He said it was actually more enjoyable to read in braille, because you can do it in bed with your eyes closed.

I've had this (to a mild degree) for as long as I can remember, along with tinnitus. I don't really notice it most of the time but it's definitely there. Is my brain just fucked?

I had left for a while and I couldn't read. Turned out it was just anxiety. I didn't even know it was a thing. I probably still have it if I look at the sky but I don't notice it much

Is what you should do with most medical questions you want to ask a book forum (except how to murder or cut up a body so true crime bitches don't get upset. Then you want the book forum not a mandatory reporter.)

I've got this sort of stuff pretty bad (floaters are the most benign of all desu), and just don't think about it. You think about it, you focus on it, it bothers you. Just accept it. I don't even notice it anymore unless I go searching for it.
Sometimes you notice a bit of movement across your page or whatever and you just go "hey there goes one of those funny guys again", just chill

Do you have anxiety and particularly OCD ? Work on that it's way more important.
Out of all the shit your body will go through getting old this is literally nothing btw, good way to start working on letting go.

I had an massive panic attack once that lasted for 8 hours and aftermath is that i no longer hear my inner voice, i have trouble thinking about anything, i think that my body is not controlled by me and it moves on its own and i got these little guys in my vision now 24/7. Basically one retarded episode of anxiety permanently ruined my life

Actually yes I almost certainly do (I'm >>22795988), but I've never been diagnosed. Why, are they causal factors? Or are you saying that having anxiety/OCD would make you notice things like this?

Lol go to an eye doctor then. The retard will probably diagnose you with glaucoma and give you prescription eye drops. What do the eye drops do? Not even the retard knows, but he prescribes them for the pharmaceutical kickback he will receive when you fill your prescription.

Hi Anon. I have had floaters since 2021 (either from rubbing my eyes too hard or the ‘vid vax? Idk) First, do get them checked at an eye doctor to make sure you don’t actually have any problems. For me, it’s harmless and not a symptom for anything.

I didn’t read for a long time because of them and just started getting back into reading. Obviously you can lock yourself in a dark room and play an audiobook. You can also read an ebook set to dark mode. But if you want to read a real life book, just go for it. After all, the floaters don’t hurt you, right?! They are 100% harmless little floating things. Every time you get annoyed by them, think “at least I’m not blind! I can literally see everything clearly, just with a few moving hiccups here and there”

Just chill. Read, focus on the words and don’t give a fuck about anything else. Love you <3

These aren't just floaters go see a doctor if you don't want to go blind.

you think eye floaters are bad?
try having ocular migraines in one eye where your entire field of vision is blurred out like static from an old tv

You have visual snow, tinnitus is a common symptom. There is currently no treatment although research on it is ongoing and making progress.

I've had that once and it was terrifying, I just went to bed because I couldn't fucking see. Started off as a small dot that grew until it covered most of my vision.

>I've had that once and it was terrifying, I just went to bed because I couldn't fucking see. Started off as a small dot that grew until it covered most of my vision.
i used to have it at least once a month but i've only had it once in the past two years now
i have no idea what got rid of it but i went to one specialist in my city, they couldn't figure it out, $300 down the drain, went to another specialist and they suggested that it might be a migraine and that nurofen or panadol (if i remember right?) can help

Been having that all my life, thankfully it's been getting less common as i'm getting older.
