the rhizomatification of culture. we are in the midsts of the cultural singularity and passing into the other side. a infrastructural polarisation is occuring. from an arborescent structure to a rhizomatic structure again. the memetic passageways of the internet have been exhausted and become too distilled and delineated. further evolving along this path is a non-option and a total hierarchical reworking has to necessarily take place. we are in the midst of this.

culture will return to clades. groups of entities with similar memetic lineages and evolutionary offspring. culture will burst forth and proliferate in these clades. like ancient tribes who develop independently from each other, clades will evolve along their own informational pathways. the difference between the ancient tribes and modern cultural clades is they will surf off the coast of the total memetic singularity that the internet caused. /lit/ is an example of one such clade

like a balloon that bursts into a million water droplets, or an informational chainsaw whose core explodes and its uncountable blades veer off and disseminate across the sky. unnamable amounts of separated clades will continue and create their own cultural ecosystems; continuing the legacy of human expression in ways unforeseeable.
