I checked out the complete short stories of Franz Kafka from my local library. Are there any that anons here would recommend starting with, any highlights? or should I just read all of them in order.

Start with the bug book, but might be considered a novella.

there's like 2-3 good ones.

you could probably read all of them with the exception of Description of A Struggle, which is kind of boring and doesn't really feel or read like kafka. some highlights:
>metamorphosis
>in the penal colony
>a hunger artist (really short)
>the burrow
>the great wall of china
but you could really read just about whatever. it's all pretty good

Agree but would add A Country Doctor, which I think is the best by Kafka
