Let's talk about Perdido Street Station.

Just finished it, and the ending gutted me. I know it's immature to expect everything nice and lovely but it was still a kick in the teeth. I wonder if he rushed it somewhat?

Considering doing my essay on it for this module as well, though I'll see how it goes.

quality book, but for something that wants to be taken semi-seriously, the handlingers, cactus people and khepri were all completely fucking ludicrous creations. nice to see originality but blimey.

Jack Half-a-Prayer rocking up and saving the day from nowhere is a bit of an unbelievable addition as well.

The cactus people are so tragic.

They can never be hugged ;_;
