Have you ever stopped reading a book before the end and returned to it after a long time? Did you have to reread, or did you continue where you left off?

Read a summary up until the point you left off to refresh your memory and then dive back in. Time is of the essence.

I haven't read it again yet but I liked The Faerie Queene so much that I stopped after the second poem to get some context for the incredible imagery that has spiraled into a full obsession with contextual interpretation as artistic practice. I plan on getting back to it after reading my lists on hermeticism in alchemy, magic in the eddas and christian mysticism in arthurian romance (which will end with Spencer).

read half of the divine comedy a few years ago. Recently restarted from the beginning since I forgot all the little details which is what makes it good in the first place
