As a writer, his prose is clunky and his style got repetitive after a few novels.

That being said, I genuinely enjoy Fight Club. Choke is also alright, thought not nearly as good as I thought it was when I was 16.

Last book I read of his was Snuff, and it was terrible, so I since stopped paying attention to him.
