Start with the Dream Cycle, it's probably his most accessible work (not that he's especially inaccessible though) and it's fabulously comfy besides, perfect for the approaching autumn season.

I wondered this at the start until I realized every single thing he ever wrote fits into one short book.
He just writes 5-10 page short stories.
Just buy the normal length book of everything he ever did.

Also dont read it front to back, just read a few stories a week. It will get samey if you just read every short story in a row as they follow a similar formula. Its not as bad as conan as its different characters and setting every time.

Houellebecq’s quasi biography/psych profile. Also, don’t bother if you’re not a deeply racist shut-in or Japanese. You won’t get it.

You could always try to read one of his short stories to see if you like him. I was introduced to Lovecraft one night when I was a kid via watching Night Gallery's adaptation of his story "Pickman's Model" at 3 AM.

After you read his works (and not before, Anon!), you can sit back and enjoy the following from the golden lips of Wayne June:

It’s unironically very profound.
