No, but it should be illegal for midwits to read and talk about this book. This quote is obviously taken out of context to imply that Christianity’s inevitable evolution was Bolshevik communism, but that’s quite literally not what was said. It merely means that Christian ethics were a pre-requisite for Bolshevik ethics. The same would be true regarding orthodox Christianity and heretical Gnosticism.

Not OP but as someone who always teetered between Christianity and secular right-wing philosophy (for lack of a more detailed explanation), thanks for this, makes sense. I only read the beginning of DOTW cause I’m a little bit of a retard but I do have a very positive view of Spengler. Trying to get back to my catholic roots and on a whim went last week, my first time back in a catholic church since I was about 11 and the priest gave a sermon about God taking the covenant away from Israel for their arrogance and giving it to the gentiles. I felt I was welcomed back instantly and can’t wait to go again this weekend.
