from what ive read this is almost indecipherable even for native english speakers, so I assume its actually impossible for non english speakers to read, especially chinese which is so different linguistically, are they all just huge poseurs?

Readers everywhere are poseurs. But reading FW in China is actually easier than it sounds, since it just takes the English text and adds a basic Chinese translation, then sidenotes for the English's wordplay. So it's like reading FW on easy mode, with a secondary guidebook integrated. Most of the advanced meaning that English readers can get from it are accessible to the Chinese.
