Why is it so hard to find a copy of this book? Should I get the paperback edition or try to find a second hand hardback?

Alright, I'll give you the real pro tips: The book is made up of several layers of narrative. The main narrative is focused on the Navidson Proejct, with sections of accompanying straight-faced academic meta-discussion satire - this is the bread and butter you should read.
A second and third layer of narrative is made up of the old man with an italian sounding name who annotated the book within the book, and Johnny Truant who pick up this annotated book and annotates it further, coupled with some drug-and-sex edgelord storyline - these are two completely superfluous lines of cringe narrative that only serve to detract from the story, don't even bother skimming, skip it outright. Last 150 pages of the book is empty filler, skip it.

I'd say if you don't find it enjoyable at the end of the first labyrinth exploration, then don't bother reading any more.

It's in Barnes and Noble and on Amazon, what the fuck are you talking about?

>> No.22564561

Johnny Truant's story is overhated in my opinion! The Navidson Record starts to shit the bed after the House swallows Tom and Will & his wife separate and when the author starts namedropping Stephen King and Anne Rice; whereas Truant's story only gets better and becomes a serious mindfuck at the end.
