the problem i have with nietzsche or any non christian world view of philosophy is their life affirming teaching. How am I supposed to love life and accept this world when there is so much suffering in and out of my very own experience? Nietzsche's talking exactly about how people like you can only think in these all-or-nothing terms of 'meaningless suffering vs. eternal transcendent redemption', and are blind to everything else that constitutes life.

If you're a human, you must have had some experience of what real living means. You must at least have an inkling of why people might find value in love, art, history, nature, consciousness, embodiment, the world, etc.

And yet you would willingly gouge out your eyes, castrate yourself, seal yourself up in a desert cave, and never know how far the human project could go, all because you arbitrarily choose to make one element of that experience, suffering, somehow more metaphysically important than all the rest of it, and prefer an abstract, empty heaven to the real and living world.

Do you only love perfect things? if so, how alone does that feel?
This world is imperfect, but is the only one we know of for sure. its filled with causality and entropy, and most can only love it by romanticing suffering, but it has beauty, and it gives you a certain level of control
