Do you maybe have a PDF of it, brother? It is truly a rare book. Some years ago, I spent few days trying to find it, but I never did. It’s actually so rare and unknown, that I got really surprised and a little freaked out, seeing it posted here, but I forgot about the Thief movie.

That book about the next several million years of human evolution and post human species where it perfectly predicts most of the near future and our present but also in like 150,000 years the population will follow our religion where as a holiday they all watch a negro rape a white woman as a form of communal State sanctioned cuckolding and then they get to Lynch him but if he escapes to a national park he's free for life and considered sacred.

Yeah, just this one - and only one. Seriously, give it a spin if you are ever interested in economics. He gives very concise explanations of the mechanics. Everything else that I have ever read on the topic tends to convolute every aspect with a load of dross, making the actual concepts difficult to derive. Why is he the only clear writer on the topic? Why is there a family foundation dedicated to memorializing his writing that does not recognize this work - the one that is the culmination of his life's work?

Help me figure out how to get the images low res enough to upload. All I have is a GE camera with fixed high res. I imported the cover into Paint in order to export it low res, but it's too much of a pain. This was a prized possession of an old codger that I knew. His family tossed it in the trash when he died. People tell me that I am a larper - that the original text never existed. It's in a ziploc bag in a storage locker that I can see from where I am sitting. It's absolutely, no exceptions, babbies best intro to banking. I want this out in the wild, but I am a subtle melange of ignorant, deprived, savant. Somebody, give me a hand.

Found this in an abandoned greenhouse complex/house. They tore it all down, but you used to be able to go inside the house and there where shelves and shelves of old books. Each shelf had a different topic like Ancient Egypt or like old American novels. The guy was some independent scholar or something. It was always sketch as fuck cause sometimes there would be at&t workers there-ig some kind of tower was on top of the greenhouse office building thing, idrk how to explain it. Plus i think some kid got charged with like trespassing for hopping on a tractor, so basically I never walked in there without my heart pounding lol. I remember just grabbing this cause it looked cool, but it's what really made into ancient history, lost civilizations, etc. Anyways, it's actually a very good read and the dude explains the history of pyramidological research super well and succinctly. He was apparently writing to inform the American public on the basics of the subject, when nobody else had offered such an explanation, but he winds up going on about Piazzi-Smyth and more esoteric ideas. Also bump for rare thread.

Anybody remember the anon who was (I think) taking scanned books, using OCR, and then formatting them nicely as EPUBs and AzW3 files? I'm pretty sure everything he did was from scans you could already find online but which had shit quality. Not sure if anything in there was really rare outside of digital, but it was still pretty cool.

All the links from the old thread (>>/lit/thread/S15590170#p15599208)) are dead, and likewise for a MEGA folder that I later got them all from, so I've re-uploaded them here:
(with a few zip versions if anyone wants to download them all; not sure if I got all the files, or what's up with the few MOBI versions).

Out of these I remember reading "Fires on the Plain", "Will O' the Wisp", "Dark Spring", "Moravagine", and "A Posthumous Confession", which were all worth it. "Fires on the Plain" was probably my favourite, and "Moravagine" my least.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) should be the next step after that, though formatting will likely be fucked and recognition won't be perfect. There are lots of utilities to do it, but I've had success with PDF24, which has an application on Windows as well as an online version. I've fucked around with terminal utilities and Python shit, but PDF24 ended up working best for me.
>tools.pdf24.org/en/ocr-pdf
They've also got utilities for converting images to PDF in bulk, I think. But there are tons of ways to do that.

Resizing the images really shouldn't matter for OCR, but OCR is going to be far from perfect in producing final text.

I don't know shit about literature but this is a fabulous read—wild.

If I've got the timing right, he gets out of prison at 33 so it must be 1956. His first night as a cat burglar he scores $7,000 after expenses. That's officially $78,000 in 2023 dollars. The thing that makes it intoxicating is the details like rifling through a fridge to drink milk because he was exhausted from stealing. Very intriguing, damning, and amusing.

A lot of evidence gets generated during this phase of a burglary. I am aware of one burglary wherein the perpetrator left a turd floating in the toilet, presumably because he was trying to be quiet, and he did not want to flush.

I have many books which are totally undocumented on the internet. Old things which don't even stick together anymore.
Most are garbage, but some are absolute gems, like a book which makes an excellent summary of the roman republic and empire, with many excellent insights into the roman mindset. This is probably one of my favorite books, the prose is not only masterful, it really shows how passionate the author was about the subject, and yet, I haven't found anything about the book, let alone the author, on the internet.
I must scan that book someday, such a masterpiece can't be forgotten.

No wonder for over 5 centuries these shitbags were brutally tortured and executed by Medieval European governments. It made the world a better place.
