nothing much it's exactly what you expect to hear from a western academic, his job is to lose his sleep for 40-50 lives over differences and autistic minutiae because that's his life, his humanistic hyperspecialized point of view requires him to think this way otherwise he'd have nothing to talk about, there's not even a metaphysical basis for the two points of view to even communicate

tl; dr focusing on the similarities is not the fun or easy part, perennialism bad because they are "superficial"
