By this I mean, I want to know which authors you hate not for their works but for their personality.

He also has a strange face. His little quotes that people spout out as if they have this amazing significance also make me want to scream.

Twat

Stuck up little hypocrite, who I find to be frankly annoying. I equate him to the sort of blundering pseudo-intellectual who offers their half baked internet based philosophies to me on a daily basis and believe that their "OPINIONS" should be respected. He's a little pompous, self absorbed, magniloquent twat who deserves a good punch in the face.

If you read like you write then I know why you don't like Wilde! I bet you're poorly dressed too.

A resounding reply. Perhaps you'd prefer TV, OP.

Implying that your criticisms of
>His use of epigrams
>His 'magniloquence'
>His 'pseudo-intellectual' status
don't represent a textual, rather than personal, attack.

not an author but Frank Zappa

Well I'd say the last two don't.

>He also has a strange face
I was saying this the other day. Something about his mouth implies the existence of tusks. In my mind, Wilde is an anthropomorphic boar.

Why? Genuinely curious, since i have not heard much about him, but what i have has been very positive.

Not a specific person, per say, but most authors who do post-apoc stuff. They all tend to be knuckle dragging right-wing bigots. It just so happens that that is the genre i'm most interested in, but i dont like having the author 9/10 link the apocalypse to homosexuals, or african americans causing riots... Or atleast mention how 'fags are gross'.

I mean go read 'one second after'. Great concept and overall very good book. But to have all the heavy handed political BS injected really made it hard at times.

YES

in David Stubbs 'Fear of Music', which is like a potted history of avant garde music, Frank Zappa gets such a complete take down for being an uninteresting conservative poseur. Would find and type it up if I could be bothered.
